Neil, All the mast base turning blocks were added by me. There are five. Three port; two starboard. Keeping the load on the mast is exactly why I installed them.
I had Guido at Garhauer make them. I think they are the same or similar to ones Garhauer makes for Catalina. The cost less than half the price of a comparable Shaefer block. Dennis C.
