Was this track installed when the boat was built . . . . ? I know that occasionally fittings were installed by laminating a strip of aluminum into the laminate – then tapped, so the machine screw didn’t have a nut on the under side. Having lost most of my memory now, I can’t say if this was done on the 37, but it’s a possibility. One can now see one of the possible weaknesses of the system . . . . Rob Ball
