If you must add non skid to your sole (and I thoroughly disapprove!), the best stuff is an Awl Grip product called GripTex. It is clear spheres so it blends better than walnut shells, which appear black underfoot. GripTex is also not as sharp as shells so there is less wear on your gear and toes. Andy
