Offshore you many want saltwater for dishwashing except the final rinse. We generally don't carry enough fresh water for long passages as it is without doing the dishes in all fresh water. I had a big net bag I used to through all the dishes in and just drag them for a bit. That worked great until I was washing a pot that had beef stew in it and if I hadn't been quick a shark would have made off with the pot and maybe my hand too! Joe Coquina

I have never used it and am not sure what one would do with sea water pumped into the cabin in this location. Any hints?
