Thanks for the quick answer.  It makes some sense, but I am pretty sure the
foot pump in the galley is sea water so this seems redundant, but I guess
sometimes you want more water than the foot pump would easily deliver.  Dave


PS- Our foot pump has a piece of rubber pipe insulation over it after
numerous scraped ankles.  I am guessing others have done the same.
