COBirders,

SORA, or Searchable Ornithological Research Archive, now includes content
of all 1973-2008 issues of North American Birds (formerly Nat'l Audubon's
American Birding and ABA's Field Notes). Although you should subscribe
to ABA's North American Birds to read the excellent accounts of the
first U.S. record of Sungrebe and the first North American record of
White-crested Elaenia, e.g., all content of older issues are online at
http://elibrary.unm.edu/sora/search.php. A very generous donation by ABA
board member, Tony White, allowed this publication to be included with
the likes of older issues of AUK, Condor, Wilson Bulletin, Western Birds
or a total of 13 ornithological journals. From SORA you can also read
recent issues' abstracts. Since Least Bittern has been reported recently
in CO, I typed "Least Bittern" in the SORA search engine and came up with
15 articles about this species. This is a great free resource. Give it
a try.
