Hi Helen-we live in White Plains, NY not far from you. We have a 2 year old cockapoo who is the love of our life. Muffin is white,silver, and black. She is very mellow and is now a therapy dog. We go to the Westchester Med Center every Wed. Muffin is 23 lbs and I think the clue is the size of the paws.
What these very bright puppies need is consistency. Muffin sleeps in our bed and has since her 2nd night withus. She has never peed or pooed in the bed. We did establish taking her out every 4 hours(not at night) and this seemed to work. Did she have accidents-yes-lots but was trained in 2 months. You need to remember she's a puppy and not doing anything to spite you-she will learn.
Congratulations on adopting a cockapoo-I thinkl you made a wise choice. By the way there's a great pet store in New Canaan named Critter Creatures-the ladies in there are very knowledgeable. If you are in lower Fairfield maybe we could meet. Lydia Blake
