Wow, I think the playfulness is one of the greatest things about  them.

Especially biting. As a puppy,
they are teething and will chew on  anything,
especially humans. Sometimes it will work if you
screech an  annoying sound and say no biting.
 One other thing that works well is a frozen wet wash rag put in  the 
freezer, that will soothe their gums.

For  my
puppy, when she bites I grab the skin on the back of
her neck and  hold her down, and in a very dominant
voice I sternly say no biting. I also  stare her in the
eyes when I do this. In this way, I become  the
"Dominant" one. 

That isn't positive reinforcement and many trainers will tell you that will  
make a dog aggressive.  Sorry but I don't agree with this method.
