Hi , Thought I'd ad my Newbie experience , Teach you puppy well ,,
& teach you children to teach & treat your puppy right . Puppies
mouths are tasting new stuff & gentle mouthing is considered
exploring here .... Nippipng / Biting is an agressive trait ...
...when my pups start to get aggressive I pick them up and hold
them ... say no bite & be nice .... if I must I'll hold their
mouths shut while re- peating this in a normal , but firm tone .
Puppies learn fear quickly & it can be a real STOPPER in training .
your Puppy wants to please you , but have fun too . If it fears
you or shows aggression out of fear ..you'll get no where in any
training . Don't try to prove your Dominance ... Give them Love &
guidance ... response will be submission if properly done . I tell
my kids ... be easy with the pups & they just want to taste you
...they don't really bite they mouth lightly & taste ....I let
all my dogs freely taste ...it's a bonding thing ... they
usually respond by rolling on their backs ..ready for tummy rubs
.
Of course there are really disturbed animals that are
just bad.. I wouldn't recommend keeping one around children ...
though with effort they may be turned into a nicer dog .
Had a Major break today Clara decided she would
stop her non stop barking - she had a big change yesterday & was
vocal about it ...I seperated her & Motley .... new Crates &
devided the puppie pen ... He seemed grateful for the move .

submit to us. I chose wanting to love us. It takes a little longer but
it is well worth it in the end. A happy puppy makes a happy dog.

That is what a puppy is, playful, full of live and laughs. Just like a
human baby it takes time for them to learn. Actually think how much
faster they learn than a human. Enjoy the puppiness because it is gone
before you know it!! JMHO
