Hi all,
I'm now the proud owner of a cockapoo and as this is my first dog ever...I'm
having trouble
figuring out what is "normal".
He's a cutie and more on the independent temperment. He was actually the only
dog in the
litter - I didn't know that happened.
Anyways - he isn't very food motivated and is very distractable so it's been
hard to train him.
Is that normal for a puppy to rather look at every leaf than go for the treat?
Also - I'm trained to let him out every so often, so that's been going decently
well so I've let
him out around the house more. But he keeps having accidents as he doesn't
remember to
run out to the door to get let out.
He's just over 4 months - is that normal? I thought they learned a lot sooner?
If not, is there
anything I can do to get him to learn to go to the door when he has to go?
thanks.
Bonnie
