Have you tried putting a bell on the door? every time you take him out, make him ring the bell.
some times it just takes longer for certain dogs. my dog layla was potty trained in 2 weeks and told me she had to go out by crying by the door. My other dog cowen is just learning how to tell me he has to go outside and hes 14 months. it wasnt that bad though because layla would cry for him when he had to take care of business. ive tried different things with cowen but hes just one of those dogs that just doesnt get it. now he just looks at me wierd and once in a while he will put his head on the couch and just stare me down. --- In [email protected], "bjmom008" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi all, > > I'm now the proud owner of a cockapoo and as this is my first dog ever...I'm having trouble > figuring out what is "normal". > > He's a cutie and more on the independent temperment.
