AMEN.....check out the breeder you are getting your puppy from.....don not buy
from a pet store. They are puppy mill babies and will have lots of problems.
We have 2 cockapoos and not a bit of aggression. Just bundles of love.

Sadly its more common than we know and apparently a lot of vets don't look
unless asked either. The good part when diagnosed medication can make all the
difference in the world.
The other thing I find real sad is the cockapoo is such a great pet, but
along with becoming so popular over the last few years many people have jumped
on the bandwagon and are mass breeding, for example puppy mills. They don't
breed for temperament, they just breed for greed period. I got Buffy in 2000,
at the time when I was searching for one I checked shelters and such there were
little to no cockapoos in the shelters and why because no one that owned them
gave them up. I find it so sad now when you find hundreds listed at petfinder
on any given week. Cockapoos when breed properly are the best, they have the
best of traits, they are so loving and so much fun. They are loved by all.
I get really disturbed when I read about aggression, behavioral problems with
cockapoos because this isn't/wasn't 8 years ago. Puppy mills breed anything to
anything including inbreeding and there is where you have a down hill course.
Cockapoos are getting a bum rap, I run the other cockapoo group and we are over
600 members and few to none have temperament problems with their poos. Most
behavior problems are because of human error while the puppy is growing up.
Are my 4 poos perfect, of course not, but they are damn near it.
