Doesn't sound like a cockapoo. Some bad breeds try to pass of many mixes as
cockapoos. Some first generation cockapoos may more closely resemble a
poodle or cocker spaniel. Second generation cockapoos (who's parents were
both cockapoos) will have the more "classic" cockapoo look.a little scruffy
(think Benji) with wavy to curly hair. Many breeders doc their tails, so
I'm not sure what a true cockerpoo's tail would look like. That bugged eyed
look with a curly tail reminds me of a pug. Hmmm..a pugapoo; that's a new
one.

Subject: [cockapoo] What a Cockapoo looks like

About five years back, I went to Texas to get 2 different cockapoos from 2
different
breeders.
One dog was a perfect, classic cockapoo in every way and is still with us,
adorable....love
the breeder.
The second one was bug-eyed, long nosed, blocky body with a long curling
tail... and she
was pretty "crazed", would always pee in the house and the first dog, the
classic cockapoo
seemed to really "hate" her. (I don't believe this was a dominance thing.)

We kept the second dog for 3 days and then couldn't take it any more. We
sent her back as
the breeder had requested but never got our money back which to this day
truly ticks me
off!!!
That's a summary of the longer story.

My question is: do you think this second cockapoo was really a mix between a
poodle and
a cocker spaniel or could the breeder have been pulling my leg? The dog was
downright
ugly, yes, I think that's fair to say and possible:) But what's with the
tail that curls up over
the dog's back? I've never seen a poodle's tail do that!

Your thoughts? I might still have a picture of this dog.
