Well said. A calculator is a useful tool - so useful that many of us have
one sitting on our desks next to its multi-kilodollar cousin from Cupertino,
and use it in preference to Calculator.app. And yet, when one is learning
arithmetic, using a calculator for one's lessons is counter-productive - it
obscures precisely the fundamental principles one is trying to learn.
