Debug apps expire when your debug provisioning profile expires, which you should know because you renewed your membership. TestFlight apps have a shorter lifetime to encourage developers to release test versions on a regular basis and stop TestFlight just being an easy mechanism for distributing private apps to your friends for a year at a time.
