Don't.
If I mute the sound, I don't want to hear a thing, even if this
machine is going to blow up.
Should I ever encounter an app that does otherwise, it will land in
the trash faster than you can say 'mute'. ;-)
(Of course you may add a preference for that - as long as it is
disabled by default.)
