Thanks. those are what I was looking for, but unfortunately this is in only in 10.7. What were people using prior to 10.7?
Does anyone know anything about kEventMenuBarShown and if this is the correct Carbon event to handle pre-10.7? The information I found is from 2005 so I don't know if this is supported anymore and Apple has totally deprecated the Carbon Event Manager, even though it seems there is still crucial functionality they haven't made Cocoa equivalents of.
