Cocoon is making into comertial world. My company uses it for all iterfaces to our sizable product (over 1000 XSPs). We started with 1.7.4 and moved to 1.8.1 and now I'm trying to move to 2.0.2 (I hope performance will be better).
Where Coccon is lacking is documentation, documentation, and documentation. I find that whenever I'm looking for something 5% of the time I find it in Cocoon docs, 40% of the time I find it from the mailing list archives (I wish I could use deja.com for my searches) and rest of the time is code surfing. Also some push into comertial J2EE providers should be made. iPlanet App Server included cacoon in one of it's version but I think the new one (6.5) will come with Struts. Anyways, it's a great engine I just wish I could spend less time looking and more time developing.
