Alexander,
I don't want to prolong this fruitless discussion, but
- we have issues with jdk1.4 thanks to some decisions from sun
- these issues are documented
- list archive returns 273 messages on jdk 1.4 and cocoon
- they are not resolved completely, actually, those are holding back the 2.0.3
  release, help is appreciated
- you've upgraded to CVS HEAD (and should have used cocoon_2_0_3_branch)
- HEAD is currently 'in disorder' regarding samples
- you complain HEAD is not documented well
- alternatively, you complain issues with jdk1.4 are not documented well,
  that is because (see above)

And I believe both complaints are a bit unfair. A simple solution for
you would have been to use jdk1.3.1, which is documented as well. No
CVS needed.

Now you've obviously managed, it would be great if you could write up
your experiences, it might help us to solve the 1.4 issues and others
to set up cocoon more easily.

        Chris.

Please follow up summarizing your problem and which suggested solution
/ information worked for you when you consider your problem
solved. Add "SUMMARY: " to the subject line. This will make FAQ
generation and searching the list easier. In addition, it makes
helping you more fun. Thank you.
