Base Cocoon is not difficult. But given the current documentation and examples, even only understanding what a "base" Cocoon usage is... well, it's really difficult.

I feel and understand your frustration. It's justified.

But a JSP hello-world page I was able to get up and working in 15
minutes.
That's what we should do.
We have already put some additions in the latest Cocoon in CVS to put in a wevserver, so that nothing is needed to simply run a hello-world.
Unfortunately the last releases were hit by a samples refactoring that was never really finished, and now the blocks.

We have to repolish it all now.

Thanks for your pointers, they should remember us all that we have still work to do on this side.
