> Yes but this require @vandonr-amz to advocate for it. We did not have a real discussion about the problem we had a discussion about a specific solution (this PR) to a side effect problem (costs of secret manager) For me this requires to advocate (and lead implementation) of strategic solution by those who rejected this PR on the grounds that we need a more strategic solution. I call it "constructive criticism". But maybe it's just my understanding :). Again. Let's see where it gets in few months time when we discuss 2.8. There are few options: 1) someone (it could be anyone) implements strategic re-parsing solution 2) we will decide to merge this one 3) we will again defer it on the grounds that there is a solution that implements it better Marking it as 2.7.0 does not mean that it is going to be merged, it's more a reminder to all of us to come back to this discussion and decide on 2) or 3) in the event no-one will implement 1) - and discussing it around 2.7.0 is a good time, since we have a PR ready to be merged that provides a tactical solution and we can merge it just before 2.7.0 in case we decide we do not want to wait for 1) in case it is not going to happen. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
