I think you're both right and we should exclude transitive dependency and
update the version. I'm seeing the same behavior for the slf4j-api dependency,
I've excluded it as well from dropwizard transitive dependencies, but should we
update the version up to the latest? I think it's better to do this in another
ticket, but I'd like to hear your thoughts here as well. wdyt?
