This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage.
Findings: This is a development task, not a bug. It tracks adding
bootstrap-file-split support to the Hudi Trino connector and is a sub-task of
the active umbrella epic HUDI-2687 ('A new Trino connector for Hudi', currently
In Progress, targeted fixVersion 1.1.0). An earlier implementation existed but
was reopened on 2023-11-01 because Hadoop libraries were removed from the Trino
connector (trinodb/trino#17392), so it can no longer rely on `FileStatus` and
needs to be reimplemented. Much of the remaining work lives in the
trinodb/trino connector.
Disposition: incomplete feature under an active epic. Keeping this open as
part of the Trino connector effort.
