Bryan Bende commented on NIFI-274:
----------------------------------

I'm fairly close to a first pass of a ListenSyslog processor that supports tcp
& udp, parses the pieces of the messages into FlowFile attributes, and supports
parsing the RFC5424 and RFC3164 formats that Flume supports.

For the put side of things, I'm wondering if we need/want a PutSyslog
processor, as opposed to generic PutUDP/PutTCP processors. For those more
familiar, Is there anything syslog specific on the put side that we would want
to do?
