## Problem Data source creation and update accept arbitrary authentication values. During Metrics queries, unknown values are silently treated as no authentication. ## Impact A mistyped or unsupported auth mode can cause unauthenticated requests and misleading downstream failures. ## Proposed fix Validate supported auth modes during create and update, preserve blank values as no authentication, and add regression coverage.
