Thanks Gaurav, much better now, but the two bottom checkboxes still need to be 
reset to their default states after a save (enabled - checked, admin - 
unchecked).  Fixing this may involve needing to reset (clear & reload) the 
backing bean somehow, a solution that would probably also take care of the text 
field issue, making your last patch unnecessary.  Still, I went ahead and 
applied the patch as it improves the code.
