Review Comment:
Addressed in the current head. `SINGLE_VGROUP_DATABASE_OPTIONS` now has a
Javadoc comment stating that `VGROUPS 1` is purely a CI resource workaround and
that the STABLE-backed source/sink queries exercised by this suite do not
assert per-vgroup parallelism, so the single-vgroup layout is expected to
behave the same for these SQL paths.

Review Comment:
Addressed in the current head. The readiness probe now keeps fixed probe
databases until the container stops instead of repeatedly creating and dropping
them on every Awaitility retry. The method comment documents why the database
probe is needed beyond port readiness and why the probe database is
intentionally reused.
