@DanielLeens thanks for confirming #12391 as the path for this issue and for
the CI gate note.
Following up on the Build failure on tip `0fc63dc5`:
- Unit-test matrix (JDK 8/11, Ubuntu/Windows) is green on that tip.
- The remaining red jobs are:
- `engine-v2-it`:
`SplitClusterFaultToleranceIT.testStreamJobCancelResolvesWhenWorkerCrashesBeforeCancelAck`
(expected `CANCELED`, got `FAILED`). Same symptom is tracked in #12353 with an
open fix in #12377 (`SubPlan` terminal-state priority on cancel vs worker
loss). This tip does not change `SubPlan` / cancel terminal selection.
- `all-connectors-it-2`: `OpengaussCDCIT` (testcontainers infra).
I am re-running the failed Build jobs on the fork now. I will not broaden
#12391 with the #12353/#12377 cancel-race fix so this PR stays scoped to the
lifecycle-close contract. Happy to follow whatever you prefer if Build stays
blocked on that known race after the re-run.
