Classification: B / Zeta external-application-mode design. Thanks for taking ownership of the design work. Current `dev` has only the `DeployType` entries and placeholder YARN/Kubernetes resource-manager methods returning `null`; there is no active application-mode implementation PR to extend. The root-level `resource-managers/` layout is therefore a proposal, not an accepted module boundary. Please start with a YARN-first STIP before opening modules, changing POMs, or adding platform SDKs. It should define one-job/one-application v1 scope; application versus worker lifecycle owners and transitions; master bootstrap, worker join, partial-startup and cleanup behavior; cancellation/failure/restore semantics; artifact/config/credential boundaries; and a minimal test and package plan. Keep autoscaling, HA, Kerberos, multi-job tenancy, and Kubernetes implementation out of v1.
