CI note: the remaining red jobs are unrelated to this PR: `elasticsearch-connector-it` fails the same way on #12608 since `dev` brought in #12642 (`ElasticsearchIT` slice tests read 0/10 of 11 rows); `PostgresCDCIT.testPostgresCdcSnapshotOnlyAndCommittedOffsetStartupModes` is the known flaky committed-offset check (#12261), not snapshot splitting; and `FlussSourceIT` timed out.
