Thanks @SEZ9! To close the two remaining points on head def95cccf:
- **F2**: `joinViaPossibleMembers()` resets the master-address-to-join via
`if (clearedAny && !clusterService.isJoined())
clusterService.setMasterAddressToJoin(null);`
before `continue`, so a stale master is no longer pinned.
- **F1/F3 behavior**: the retry loop now refreshes an empty candidate list
each pass
(`if (possibleAddresses.isEmpty()) possibleAddresses =
getPossibleAddresses();`), so a
discovery-based worker re-runs discovery instead of idling, covered by the
new
`discoveryWorkerStartedWithEmptyDiscoveryShouldEventuallyJoin` test.
