@masahi Yeah. It probably worth a forum discussion thread before we proceed with any solution. In tf frontend, there are even more ```try .. except``` blocks which doesn't involve ```_infer_value```(thanks to the complexity of tf frontend :D) I think it would be helpful to discuss overall what kind of style is recommended(or necessary) in tvm frontend.
