JCE should be included in 1.4.1 to my knowledge. Maybe your java.policy file is corrupt, the JCE jar got deleted somehow? I'm not really sure, there are often conflicts caused by various application servers and the way they handle classpaths.


The other questions were directed more at the other HttpClient developers as something we might need to consider changing.
