We use Autowhite. I highly recommend it.

People never have a issues with regular communications. If it’s from a new
sender we just tell them so send 2 quick emails to the person. That’s it, they
are whitelisted.

The app is stable, never caused a problem in the years we have been using it,
and totally automatic. You set it up and forget about it.

I will have to investigate this addressbook thing.

Is there something I have to turn on in declude to make it happen?

Maybe it doesn’t work if my iMail system’s collaboration-SQL server is on a
weird port like 9090?

Maybe it is working and I don’t know it.

Thanks.

Carl

Hi Carl,

I haven’t migrated, but we have many customers, and other ISPs, who use our
IMail/Declude filtering as a front end for their Exchange servers. We
developed a sync process to keep users in sync between the Exchange and our
filtering gateway. That may be one way for you to go.

On a related note, you mention an inability to set up per-user whitelists. Are
you aware of the Address Book Whitelist feature in IMail/Declude that uses the
webmail address book as a whitelist?

Best,

Darin.

Subject: [MBF]Migration to Ms-Exchange?

Hi.

I have a customer who is dissatisfied with Imail (and ultimately, declude
because

it doesn’t integrate (doesn’t whitelist on a per user basis - user has no
control)).

I have recommended they consider SmarterMail as an alternative because I think

it can import from iMail.

Has anyone done this?

Has anyone migrated from iMail to MS-Exchange?

Can you confirm that declude can work with MS-Exchange and there is no native

spam filtering for exchange?

Thanks.

Carl
