Hello Community Garden Folks- We have 2 interesting job opportunities that may interest you or people you know. The Knox Parks Foundation is a 36-year-old and growing urban greening organization that sponsors community and school gardens, educational programs for teachers, students, and the general public, a youth conservation corps, and a wide range of beautification projects. We are looking for 2 key staff people.
Development Director An experienced professional to create a new development office. Tasks will focus on individual & corporate giving, events, donor cultivation. This position combines activities currently shared by other staff and volunteers. Works closely with grantwriter, executive director, board, and program staff. Program Developer/Manager An experienced professional to enhance and create horticultural/environmental programs. These include leadership development training for community gardeners and youth corps members, teacher training programs, volunteer neighborhood beautification efforts and the like. Is part of a program team including a community organizer and horticulturist/corps director. Interested people should request a detailed job description which describes application process. Thanks.
