Or, compare my SE/30 running System 7 (any version) to my NeXTcube 68030 running NextStep 2.1. :) Actually, between those two, the SE/30 wins -- the NeXT can do web browsing, but ain't nobody gonna do no serious web browsing on that thing -- it's slow. That's "S--L--O--W." Compare the NeXTcube 68040/33 running NextStep 3.3 (circa 1996~) with a P4 running Windows XP - the Cube wins. :) (But then, look who's judging!) OK, maybe it doesn't win for speed, but definitely for panache. The SE/30 is still my favorite compact. Nice, nice machine. It's really fascinating to compare what Apple did with a 68030 and what NeXT did with one. Totally different computers and operating systems.
