Why stop with the motherboard? If you could work out where the voltages
go into the logic board on the power book you could convert the whole
PowerBook int oa compact Mac. I think using the whole power thing might
throw up some challenges but if you found an old PowerBook with a 9" or
10" colour screen and a dead battery (if such anything exists - I'm not
a PowerBook expert) you could re-house it inside a CC or a Classic
easily, maybe :).
