My brother's Quadra 950 is hooked into the same DSL line used by all the other computers. When using a high-speed internet connection on a slow computer, the bottleneck shifts from the internet to the computer's rendering capabilities. I remember Internet Explorer 4 stopping quite often to render pages after they were loaded on my old 7100/80. Internet browsing is as fast on my PowerBook G3 as it is on my dad's PowerBook G4, but when you get below a G3 the computer's speed can slow down your browsing. I suppose it also has to do with the speed of the computer's ethernet port.
