I didn't have DFA on that SE/30, but I did have Norton Utilities. It
reported the disk as 400K MFS... Oh well, maybe I'll put it back on the
shelf for a while, lots of other projects to work on...

One way to tell. After making disk, lock it and insert in Mac that made it
and run Disk First Aid 7.2.2 on it. DFA will say if it's not HFS.
