In my experience, if you aren't going to use Micro$oft products (or even if you
are going to), it's easier to use a third-party proxy server and set up static IPs
in the LAN. I allways recommend ProxyPlus (http://www.proxyplus.net/). It's small,
easy to set up, powerfull, fully configurable via web, and free for non-corporate
use.
Greetings,
Antonio Rodríguez (Grijan)
Another great proxy is the AnalogX proxy from www.analogx.com (lots of other great free software too). Found it to be nearly indispensable for a long time. Haven't tried ProxyPlus, but I bet AnalogX's is even easier. A bit less featured probably, but very nice and easy.
