Collectors will pay dearly and care for them as long as they hold some kind
of value to the collectors.

This is true for sure. While my goal is not financial gain through the long-term holding of old computers, this may turn out to be just the case. Like the people who hung onto Model T and A Fords throughout the years. The graphical user interface revolution (at least, until something else comes along) was started in one place only. Although computers are relatively new I am sure they will be with humanity from now until the end of our time. This is still the very beginning of the computer. Surely our contribution to preservation will be appreciated by future generations in a historical (if not financial) way.
