Consider using an FTP client on Mac OS 6, Fetch comes to mind. Anarchie - now
Interarchie, might also be available,

You can enable real UNIX branded ftp which comes with OS neXt and connect to it
using the internet protocol.

If you need resource forks from the SE you will have to learn about MacBinary
or some equivalent format but OS neXt doesn't really like resource forks anyway
and you may not actually want them.

System 7 talks to OS neXt pretty well, Why not? I'm still using an SE/30 with
7.5.3 as a file server for both Linux and OS neXt. I connect using the mountafp
command from Terminal which is something you might try to get to OS 6 but I
wouldn't bet on it.
