I will try swapping for the opposite to see if that helps the situations where the continuous eject happens. As for the System version, one of the disks is System 2.0, Finder 4.1 (or something close to that) and the other disk is a "brand-new" System 6.0.8 boot floppy I made using the System 6.0.8 Installer's "Minimal System Software" option. Of course, the installer won't write to MFS disks so I created it on an 800k floppy and then copied the files to the 400k disk I wanted to use. I would think that at least one of those System disks should work. They both, however, exhibit precisely the same symptoms.
