While it is distressing to think of someone sending 1,000 text messages a day, it is even more distressing to have a supposed technology company -- AT&T -- be so ignorant about how the technology they sell is used. Apple handed AT&T the future and AT&T didn't know what to do with it. I think this is what is causing the amusement over the fat bills and is yet another example of why legislating oligopolies is bad management.
