Perhaps you should try product from a less dynamic company? Perhaps one 
that only ships major upgrades at 5-year intervals and has no interest in 
innovating? Anyone interested in a Zune?

I only update my iTunes when the update looks interesting (or the one 
time Apple forced the issue).
