Thanks for all the good words. I will be looking for an IBM maybe T series. It will have a 110-240 compliant brick. The question I am most focused upon is the keyboard (including what is written on the letters in the azerty array) and also the software (whether it will display completely in French) as it's for a novice who will be completely confused if it is not in French all the way. He will use it for email and maybe some text.
