All I can say is that LCD/Plasma TV's are the best way to go for clarity.

I have a conventional in the bedroom and a flatpanel in the Living room and the difference is absolutely clear. I can read the text and clearly see it.

I also have TIVO on both sets and the TIVO menu is crystal clear on the flatpanel and it is fuzzy on the Tube one.

Eventually I will replace all the TV's with panels as they are so crisp and clear.
