I saw that ad last night shortly after seeing the latest MS ad. It was funny (as usual). There was a grain of truth in it as we have seen MS's efforts to run away from the name Vista: first with "Mojave" and now with the "Windows 7" moniker. It is all about reminding potential customers that Vista is not very good, overly complicated, and annoying. The buzzer was just a gag for the message to ride on. The big jab was Mac man saying "They should fix it, not rename it." I think MS could ride it out, keep the name Vista, and eventually we would forget how bad it was, but only if they fixed Vista. They have done some work around the edges, but they have not really addressed the problem. Apple's last OS was a dog too. They put all their best talent to working on the iPhone. OS X Leopard was delayed by 7 months and it should have been delayed by 12. I spent 5 months pulling my hair out. Apple started rolling out patches and eventually it was working as it should.
