The death panel is a Democratic Party concept. Only the name came from the Republicans. The Democrats had the concept buried in the Health Care bill in very obscure language, but they didn't succeed in hiding it from the public. The best way to keep costs down is to have the lifestyle police prevent everyone from doing anything at all risky, including eating too much and eating the wrong foods.
