hello, I've juste installed the 8.2 ppc beta 1. here are my first problems :
1- the install program keeps asking me the 2nd CD (when I insert it, it wait a little while, then ejects it, and asks for it) => I can't install any packages on the 2nd CD (except after rebooting of course) 2- the flat panel is not detected properly : iMac/Powerbook 1024x768 instead of iBook 800x600 reboot......... 3- modules dependencies : unresolved symbols (ok already seen this thread in the archives of the list) 4- usb : can't locate usb-ohci (the usb-ohci.o.gz file is missing in /lib/modules/2.4.17mdk/kernel/drivers/usb)... I thought the macs where uhci instead ? why was ohci detected ? 5- httpd : problem with libmm (no such file or dir) (already read this in the archives) 6- X : starting in 400x300 :-( bugfix I found : in /etc/X11/XF86config-4 changed the line : HorizSync 28.0-50.0 to HorizSync 28.0-250.0 the line VertRefresh 35.0-75.0 to VertRefresh 35.0-175.0 7- KDE startup : warning about /dev/dsp (already discussed in the list) SOUND WORKS PROPERLY !
